Hi Friends,
Thanks for visiting!

UPDATE August 17- Progress is slowly being made. The shop make-over has taken way longer than anticipated. Almost have the last of the remodeling needed to get the next phases of the electrical done. Then when the electrical is completed I'll finally be able to move supplies in, setup real work benches and get things organized. As opposed to my current organizing which isn't, and my work benches are any mostly horizontal, mostly flat surfaces that I can balance stuff on. You'd be surprised how much ladder steps can hold! LoL!

I've got a couple of early orders started and a few things for friends and family. I have a few pictures below of some of what I've been working on. It would help if I was used to always taking pictures of completed items!
If you would like to email me with ideas for things you would like to see about having done, write me at Walter@BrazosLaserWorks.com and include information on what you would like to have done, pictures of what you would like to have engraved if you already have that, and a good number and time to call you back at, and I'll be in touch as soon as possible!

I had software issues with the store installation but just got that remedied and have started getting some items put in and on display soon. Spare time has not been my friend lately.

I'm slowly working on updates for my Facebook page. Not a priority yet, so check here for more current updates.

My Goal: To provide the service of laser engraving for your
keepsakes  ,

mementos  ,

and remembrance items for those who have passed...

to help you Make Your Memories Permanent.

(and yes, there is now a little TM after my tagline "Making Memories Permanent" in my logo!  I have officially applied to have it registered
and, after however many years it takes to get through the bureaucracy, it will be my official trademark!)

First engraving! Needed a little cleanup from the smoke. Didn't do any adjustments to the logo to make it clearer, but I don't think it's too bad for #1!  :-)

These are some different things I've been working on, in no particular order:
Great local sawmill. Got this piece of Red Cedar from him and the pieces down farther. He has a lot of wood I am interested in and will be a good source for real wood materials for signs, plaques and any other ideas you might have. This was also the first piece of real wood I engraved, so I think not too bad and now know more about how to improve on the next one.
Sign done for the head of the Machine shop where I work. The printing should have been a little darker but I did not adjust for the metal being thinner than the previous pieces I had practiced on. This was done on a 1/8" thick piece of aluminum using a metal marking spray.
Part of some work for a local pool hall I am working with. I will be working with them on doing custom engraving for their customers and for the custom pool cues they make.
Figure if I'm going to mess up anybody's face first, it might as well be mine. Wood is not the best thing for photos of people, but at least you can tell it's me.
Test engraving on cardboard of the sign for a school nearby where I volunteer to help maintain their fish pond. Talking to them about maybe doing a brick fundraiser or something similar. This will go on a brick or paver soon. I like using cardboard for testing, cheap, no worry about messing up expensive materials, and it gives a decent engraving.
My daughter's cat who recently passed away. This picture is a little challenging being a black and white cat but I will get it figured out!
Test sign on cardboard for the area in the company where I work at. Told my supervisor I would make him one as the company owner doesn't like the nickname the area has and this will give it a good, official sounding name.
Small test sign on a piece of live back-side Red Cedar for a co-worker's family ranch. Will be added to and a lot larger. This was just to get dad interested in it.
Design for granddaughter's acrylic nightlight for her birthday.
Nightlight with laser malfunction 2/3's of the way through. She still got this with a promise of a corrected one ASAP!
Engraved wooden card for granddaughter's birthday.
Proof design that will go on a powder coated tumbler. This sample is on a white ceramic tile that was painted black.
Some of the Red Cedar I've been collecting, waiting for projects to use it on! These are dimensionally cut with a live edge.

Since that picture I've gotten several more of what he calls "first cut" off the trees. Those are mostly bark on the original outside of the tree with a flat face. Mostly cedar but think there is also some oak or maybe pecan.

Here are some of the possibilities that can be done. I'll be able to engrave in many different types of items, including wood, stone, glass, acrylic, metal or leather objects, limited only by your imagination (with only a few exceptions). These are from some of my engraving "family" and some of what they have been able to do with a little more experience.

My Favorite
I saw this engraving in person, on an 8x10 black tile, and my hand
was 2 inches from it when I realized it really was an engraving!

Just some things from the creative minds of my laser family!
